Every year on June Saturday the gates of the castle are opened for visitors from near and far to catch the feeling of the old times for a moment. They could join a presentation of  traditional handicrafts, historical fight, culture performances and other attractions for youngsters as well as grownups. This will help them to imagine what the ancient life in the castle and the town could be like and they can enjoy the time spent with their family and friends.

 

Since the 16th century in the autumn the centre of the town has been changing into a vivid and busy place, when tradesmen of all the country meet and offer various goods. Here you can buy traditional handmade articles for example  beautiful rich decorated ginger cakes, sweets, hooked or embroidered table-clothes, goods made of wood, wattle and pottery, also clothes or furnishings household. You can relax and charge up with energy at various culture performances and attractions. One of the greatest temptation are delicious meat specialities, traditional potato blanks (pancakes) and mainly tasting of new wine.

 

At the end of May  there takes place a smaller fair joined with a beer fest when visitors and beer lovers can taste a lot of beer marks of local as well as foreign producers.
 

Hunters and those who like nature have their great day in April when there takes place a hunting exhibition "The Nature around us"  connected with the competition of unprofessional video films of hunting, nature protection and environmental themes.
 

The end of August is mostly enjoyed by fish specialities lovers, because it is a time when a competition in cooking and roasting of fish is held. In the area of  the castle park visitors can see the whole preparation of food which they can taste afterwards.
